Pumpkin Puree for Everyday

                                                                Smoothie Recipe 
2 bananas
1 Cup pumpkin puree
2 Cups Milk (your choice-vanilla almond milk is really good)
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice 
handful of ice
dash of vanilla
Blend it all together and Enjoy!!
**makes 2-3 servings


Benefits of :
Pumpkin:
     It is a low calorie, nearly fat free vegetable that provides nutrients, fiber, vitamins and minerals, It can help keep your digestive system regular and your organ systems healthy.
                     Minerals: calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, selenium.
                     Vitamins: C, E, folate, niacin, 2 B-complex
        (***all great for the skin, I might add ;)***)
Nutmeg:
     A brain tonic that can help eliminate stress,fatigue, fight depression and help your concentration. It is also an effective sedative that has been used in Ancient Chinese medicine. Indigestion relief as well as liver and kidney detox. Bc it has antibacterial properties, it can help to treat stinky breath!  It is also a great sleep aid that will help you to relax and induce sleep if taken at night.
   *pregnant or nursing mothers should avoid using nutmeg**omit in recipe. Others use in moderation**

Heather with pumpkin puree and smoothie

Ginger:
   Helps to ease motion sickness, gas, morning sickness in pregnant women. Relieves arthritis pain, cold and flu symptoms. And wait for it.......ready ladies?........it helps women get over menstrual cramps faster!!! um, yes, that's enough reason right there!:)

Cinnamon:
    Packed with magnesium, dietary fiber, iron, calcium which can help lead to improved colon and heart health. Even just the smell of it can boost your brain function, improve memory and help you perform certain tasks. It has warming properties that can be used to relieve cold and flu symptoms **esp when mixed with ginger. It had been known to relieve joint pain, reduce headaches and migraines, treat diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and flatulence (all the fun and sexy parts of life). It can lower cholesterol, regulate blood sugar, and has an anti-clotting effect on the blood.

Cloves:
    Its is a natural antiviral, antimicrobial, antiseptic, and anti-fungal agent. It has been know to aid in various health conditions including indigestion,generalized stress, parasitic infestations, cough, toothache, headaches, and blood impurities.
    Minerals: iron, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, calcium, hydrochloric acid, potassium.
    Vitamins: C, K & A
   
Bananas:
     Great source of natural energy without the "crash" that caffeine or sugary snack gives you. Helps to stop constipation, reduce the effects of a hangover or morning sickness (sweeet), boost your brain power, rid heartburn, calm you nerves and more. It has tryptophan same as a turkey that makes you feel relax bc of the protein that your body converts into serotonin. **All the things that most mom needs!!!

     Vitamins: A,C & B-6.
