Citrus Degreaser & Cleaner

Here at Sparkly Polliwog, we are always looking for ways to become more green. This recipe for a degreaser and cleaner is eco-friendly as well as easy and effective. We came across this all natural cleaner and its way cheaper to make then the toxic store bought products that may harm kids, pets, adults and the environment. Not only are the ingredients to this natural cleaner not poisonous or hazardous to your health they are completely safe if ingested!

Supplies/Ingredients:
-Jar w/ lid
-peelings of  2 large oranges (or citrus fruit of your choosing)-a natural grease cuter as well as leaves a fresh scent.
-white vinegar-natural, mild acidic, disinfectant that's non-toxic and very cheap.
-spray bottle

Now all you do is peel your oranges (eat the orange of course) and fit as many peels as you can into your jar. Fill the jar with the white vinegar and secure lid. Store jar where ever you like and wait for 2-4 weeks for the vinegar to be infused with the citrus.

Sat in my window sill for 4 weeks

After letting it soak, pour the orange liquid into a spray bottle (w/o peels) and fill with the same ratio of water. Sh'bam, you have an all natural cleaner!

I always have a jar infusing so I have a cleaner ready to be made when I run out. This cleaner works great on stoves, tile, microwaves, fixtures, counters etc.
Here is a before and after pictures of its degreasing power on my stove top (no judging, I like to cook, he he)

Not only is this cleaner all natural, inexpensive, eco-friendly, its easy to make and effective. Give it a try and let us know how you like it. Happy Citrus Cleaning!
